Early Life
Kaito Goto was born in Chigasaki City of Kanagawa, Japan. He moved to New Zealand at the age of five. He became Bilingual in English and Japanese through his passion for following rugby and sumo.
When he first arrived in New Zealand, he could not speak English. He started learning English by talking to his school teacher about rugby and has been a rugby fan ever since.
He continued learning Japanese through his passion for sumo; by watching and listening sumo streams and reading sumo news articles. He continues this to this day.

To continue pursuing his passion for Sports Data Analytics, Goto’s current side project is goto_conversion, which is an open-source python package he created to compute the probability of sport outcomes. goto_conversion has been leveraged by at least four gold medal solutions on Kaggle.
Kaggle Solo Master
Goto won a gold medal and a total of six medals on Kaggle, the world’s largest data science competition platform with solo participations only. In result, he reached the Master Tier in Kaggle Competitions with a 100% solo rate.
